We're pleased to offer the following services at EVS:
As in a human emergency room, there are NO APPOINTMENTS at EVS . Our receptionists and team members will attempt to accommodate all requests to be seen to the best of our ability, but we will also inform you if our doctors are delayed in surgery and will be unavailable for an estimated time period. Emergencies are always unpredicable and some will take more time than others. If your pet is triaged in stable condition you can expect to wait longer than someone who's animal is life-threatened. It is always best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your pet's particular emergency.
We have at least one veterinarian and multiple nursing staff members on duty 7 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care needed by your pet. Common emergencies range from a toenail trimmed too short to being attacked by a coyote or hit by a car. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call immediately. Our staff will ask a few pertinent questions then advise you of the apparent severity of your pet's condition and precisely what steps to take.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment with your daytime practitioner. Our veterinary records are automatically transferred in entirety to your routine care provider in order to provide continuity of care. In addition, if your pet was treated by your veterinarian during the day but needs additional overnight care we offer a $40 discount when your vet calls us and faxes your pet's medical record.
