EVS of St. Charles is open when your personal veterinarian's office is closed. Our hours are typically 6pm to 8am weeknights, Saturday 12 noon until 8am Monday morning. We are open 24 hours on the seven major holidays of the year: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. 

We ask that you call 630-584-7447 BEFORE coming so that we can prepare for your animal's arrival in order to expedite appropriate care. Our nursing staff is well trained in triage and will know when to rush a patient back into the treatment room and when it is safe for a patient to wait with it's owner, either in our comfortable reception area, or in a private exam room. It is most important to call when you anticipate arriving after midnight, because for the security of our staff and our patients we lock our doors at that hour. Our building is large and we are often in surgery after midnight, so we may not hear you knocking on our door. In addition, we may be able to assist you over the phone with a minor problem and may save you the journey and the expense.
