Business hours

Emergency Veterinary Services of Fox Valley is open when your personal veterinarian’s office is closed. Our hours are typically 6pm to 8am weeknights, Saturday 12 noon until 8am Monday morning. We are open 24 hours on the seven major holidays of the year: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

Appointments

As an emergency practice, we do not have the convenience of scheduled appointments. All patients are seen in the order in which they arrive or based on immediate need. Pets with life-threatening conditions will receive priority care. We pride ourselves in being efficient while providing quality care for every patient.

Please call ahead

We ask that you call us at 630-584-7447 BEFORE coming, as we keep our doors locked for security. Also, calling ahead enables us to prepare for your arrival, expediting appropriate care. Our nursing staff is well trained in triage and will know when to rush a patient to the treatment room and when it is safe for a patient to wait with its owner, either in our comfortable reception area, or in a private exam room. In addition, we may be able to assist you over the phone with a minor problem and may save you the journey and the expense of an ER visit. At other times, your pet may be best served by visiting a 24-hour specialty hospital in the area (for example, when a pet becomes paralyzed and needs specialized neurologic and/or surgical care), and the sooner we can direct you to the best facility for your pet’s needs, the better the outcome.

Records

Our medical records are automatically given to you and also transferred to your routine care provider in order to provide continuity of care. We communicate with veterinary hospitals located throughout the Fox Valley area and beyond: Aurora, Bartlett, Batavia, Bloomingdale, Burlington, Campton Hills, Carol Stream, Cortland, Elburn, Elgin, Geneva, Genoa, Hampshire, Hanover Park, Lily Lake, Maple Park, North Aurora, South Elgin, St. Charles, Streamwood, Sycamore, Virgil, Wayne, West Chicago, Wheaton, and Winfield.
